Starting this blog in the middle of an upheaval in my life may not have been the wisest decision. But, I made it, so I'm going to hang in there for a while longer still on the path to reaching my goals. I hope you are having success, that you are losing weight, and that you are healthier than ever. I am in a good place, going in the right direction, and embracing lifestyle changes that include more than just weight loss, though I still want to get back down to where I felt most comfortable. I think anything that we do that is in the right direction, towards health will help us achieve our goals. When we do things that promote health, mental and emotional, spiritual, or physical we reap the benefits all around. I don't like to make New Year's resolutions, but there are a few things I want to focus on with more intention in 2014. I am ready for a new beginning. I like the phrase, "Out with the old and in with the new!" I do not want to abandon the good that is imbedded in the old, but maybe a re-framing is in order. Here is a short list of my 2014 Intentions:
1. Figure out how to live abundantly with less.
2. Develop the art of waiting.
3. Take care of my body, mind, and spirit.
4. Have deeper relationships.
5. Acknowledge that wandering is essential and time well spent.
These are the intentions that I want to start with. I may create a new blog about these topics, but I will continue to give you anything I learn that will support your commitment to a healthier you. God bless and have a wonderful 2014.
